BRING ME YOUR PAIN!
An Introduction to Hypnosis Therapy: A short course with attitude.
For many, we are now in the ‘Age of Wellness' and people are taking more responsibility for our own health and healing, therefore, modern hypnosis therapy can no longer be considered an esoteric practice based on complex theories or mystical notions. Indeed, the procedures we use and the messages we convey in hypnotherapy derive from a few simple and basic observations about, a) people, b) therapy, and c) the nature of trance itself.
Well-intentioned course participants can expect, therefore, to contemplate and discuss eight assumptions about people and therapeutic change that form the foundation for hypnotherapy and single-session psychotherapy:
- Pain is the primary symptom
- Comfort is the primary goal of therapy
- Our multiple minds must interact
- Injured interactions cause pain
- Injuries elude examination
- Pain leads to the source
- Awareness promotes healing
- Assistance may be needed
The core of this insightful two-day course is the active participation in and observation of the Diagnostic Trance process, which is an incisive technique for healing and change-work that emerges from and captures the essence of these basic assumptions.
